Failure of Top Fulcrum Pin - Rolls Royce Silver Cloud and Bentley S1
We have received a number of enquiries from our valued clients regarding a recent communication from the Rolls-Royce & Bentley Specialists’ Association.
A letter issued on 18th March 2010, alerted people to a number of cases in which the Top Fulcrum Pin in the suspension had failed. Upon investigation it has been found that these parts were supplied by a number of organisations including Healey Brothers and Introcar.
As a valued customer of Bentley and Crewe Genuine Parts, we would like to assure you that this component was neither supplied nor endorsed by Bentley Motors Limited. Some of our owners have contacted us because this was sold under the same part number as the Crewe Genuine part (UR3797 and UR539), but was not however supplied in our Crewe Genuine packaging.
This failure relates only to the non-OEM part available and not one of our Genuine Parts. If you have any reason to believe your vehicle may have been fitted with one of these parts we recommend that you contact your Authorised Bentley Dealer who is aware of this recent communication and can advise you accordingly. Bentley Motors Limited have supplies of these Genuine Parts, should a replacement be required for your vehicle.
